Ireland ball boys - history in the making
ALL eyes will be on the historic event of the first ever soccer game to be played in Croke Park on Saturday next, March 24 when 12 local youngsters, all members of St. Joseph’s Juvenile AFC act as ball boys for the FAI for the big match between Ireland and Wales, which kicks off at 3 pm.
The Club is delighted to have the following players represent them and hope that it is a very enjoyable day for all concerned . Eoin Maddock, Paul Costello, Jack Lowry, Jason Noctor, Mark Deane, Martin Farrell, Niall Fitzpatrick, Ruari Keenan, Sean Delaney , Eric Bates, Ben Jacob and Andrew Thompson. They will be accompanied by four mentors - John Maddock, John Delaney, Johnny Lyons and Jody Townsend.
The club’s new generator was stolen over the weekend. It was taken between Saturday (March 10) at dinner time and Tuesday evening (March 13). Anyone who might have seen anything suspicious, or who has any information is asked to contact Mick on 087-2699180 or any committee member.
