St. Joseph's AFC was formed in September 2000 and since then has made great strides in Carlow underage soccer.

From humble beginnings, the club had 9 teams by the start of the 2003-2004 season: 2 Under 9, 2 Under 10 as well as Under 11,12,13,14 and 15 age groups. There are over 100 players registered with the club and very effort is made to ensure all adhere to the FAI code of ethics.

Each year, the club organises a wide range of fundraising events including quiz nights, raffles and draws as well as the hugely successful Balloon Race in December. The club have already gone on many outings including trips to Blackpool and Cork. The highlight of the past year was when 12 St. Joseph's underage players acted as ballboys for the Ireland-Russia European Championship qualifier in Lansdowne Road.

There is now a lot of talent emerging throughout the club which ensures a great future for the club.
