Great Attendance at A.G.M. of Tinryland G.F.C

Tinryland GFC held its AGM on Monday 28th November. There was a huge attendance
reflecting the success of the club in 2011. After an excellent and comprehensive report
from the outgoing secretary John Scott, the Chairman Peenie Whelan addressed the meeting
and thanked all who gave a voluntary effort to the club as well as wishing all the
mentors, coaches and players the best for 2012. He gave
particular thanks to John Scott with respect to the excellent job he has done
for the club as secretary over the past number of years. Particular mention was
given to the huge voluntary effort that is needed to raise funds for 2012. A
minute?s silence was observed for the former Tinryland great Tommy
O?Neill.

The following were elected: President Michael Whelan. Vice Presidents: Fr Liam Morgan,
Paddy Regan, Jim Deane, Brendan Hayden, Tom Doyle, Joe Gorman. Chairman: Peenie Whelan.
Vice Chairman: John McCullough. Hon Secretary: Michael Doran. Assistant secretary/
Insurance Officer: Greg Doyle.
Hon. Treasurer: James Dempsey, Assistant treasurer: Cormac O'Toole.Registrar: Niall
Barrett, Co Board Rep: John Scott. Irish language Officer: Cormac Breathnach. A.S.A.P.
Officer Liam Lawlor. Child Protection officer Kay McGrath.
Executive Committee: Ned Deane, Michael Keys, Joe Walshe, Mick Murphy, Jenny
Fitzpatrick, Eamonn Byrne, Martin Doyle, George Deane, Cora O'Reilly, David Donegen, Mick
Moore, David Power, Eamonn O'Sullivan.

Former chairman and county player Mick Murphy announced his intention to run for the post
of County Secretary. Mick received unanimous endorsement at the meeting and all members
present indicated that they would support Mick in his campaign. We wish Mick the best of
luck.

Tinryland GFC Launches Club Lotto

Tinryland GFC Chairman Peenie Whelan launched the club lotto at the 2011 AGM. Success in
the club brings with it huge expense and we need ALL club members to get out there and
sell tickets. Tickets are available from the club and the starting prize is ?2,000.


Ladies Football AGM

The AGM of Bennekerry/Tinryland Ladies Football Club takes place on Tuesday December 13th
in Tinryland GFC at 8.30 pm. New members are invited to attend.
