Tinryland Qualify for Feile 2011

Tinryland U 14s have once again qualified to represent our county in
this years feile and we have a number of events coming up which we will be
looking for peoples support in, including a family quiz night in the
clubhouse, Richie's (long) leg waxing and a sponsored cycle. Please
come along and support if you can, more info at a later date

Tinryland Juvenile GFC wish to thank all who helped at our
successful cake sale . Special thanks to Seerys bakery and Hoseys
Staplestown road for the lovely hamper, Brendan Farrell and the use of
the parish hall and parents who contributed lots of wonderful produce
on the day.

Tinryland Juvenile GFC wish to convey our deepest sympathy to John
Noctor and his Family on the recent passing of his wife Kathleen. May she rest
in peace.

Tinryland senior footballers climb League Table

Tinryland senior footballers recorded their most significent win
recently when defeating current Co. champions Old Leighlin by 9 points
at Molaise park Old Leighlin.

This win followed a 2 point victory over Naomh Eoin and moves the
Tinryland team into 4th place in the league table with 5 games
remaining. Tinryland were due to play Kildavin-Clonegal on Thursday but
the game was postponed as a mark of respect to the Noctor family on the
sad death of Kathleen whose remains were removed to Tinryland church
that evening. Tinryland are next in action this coming Saturday with an
away game to Rathvilly at 7 p.m. and will then play Kilbride, St.
Patricks, and O'Hanrahans with the postponed game against
Kildavin-Clonegal still to be re arranged.

The Carlow senior football championship is due to commence in mid July
with Tinryland's opening game against Kilbride.


Carlow Vhi G.A.A. Cul Camps 2011.

The annual Vhi G.A.A. Cul Camps will be held in Carlow as follows
Football in Eire Og from Monday 4th July to Friday 8th July, Hulring
and Camogie in Carlow Town H.C. from Monday 11th July to Friday 15th
July and Football in Dr Cullen Park Outside pitch from Monday 8th
August to Friday 12th August. Each camp begins at 10am daily to
2.30pm. The cost is 55 per child with family discounts. This includes
the jersey, shorts , socks and backpack.
Forms have been distributed in all the Primary Schools. You can also
book online at www.gaa.ie and follow the camps link.
Special guest county players will visit all camps.
You can also register as follow in the host clubs; Eire Og Saturday
11th June from 10.45am to 12 noon. Carlow Town H.C. on Sunday 12th June
from 11am to 12noon. Forms and fee can be handed in to book your place

Senior Team Back to Winning Ways

Tinryland Senior Footballers got back to winning ways in the Carlow SFL Div 1 with a hard
fought 0-17 to 2-9 win over Naomh Eoin recently. Tinryland, who had County players Trevor
O'Reilly, Shane Redmond and John Paul Moore available for the game gradually gained
control of the game with Paul Broderick amassing a personal tally of 10 points. The
Senior Team will next be in action against Kildavin-Clonegal on Thursday next, May 26th
in Rathcrogue at 7.30 pm.

Tinryland GFC were also featured on the John Murray show on RTE Radio 1 on Monday of last
week, May 16th with the podcast available on
