Tinryland qualify for knockout stage of Carlow S.F.C.

For the first time in 5 years Tinryland have qualified for the knockout
stages of the Carlow S.F.C. Competing in a very difficult group
Tinryland defeated Old Leighlin, Mount Leinster Rangers and Ballon and
shared the spoils with Fenagh to finish 2nd in their group and set up a
quarter final tie with Co. champions Rathvilly. This game will take
place in Dr. Cullen park on Saturday 18th September.

At juvenile level the U16 team put up a good show before losing out to a
very strong Eire Og team in the Co. (A) final. The U14 team were in
action in their Co. final against Michael Davitts last evening (Monday)
while both U12 teams also reached Co. finals this season. The recent
winners of the supporters club draws for July and August were Fr P.J.
Byrne PP Kilcock and Liam Foster.
