TINRYLAND G.F.C. NEWS: Tickets are selling fast for the annual Tinryland G.F.C. dinner dance to be held in the Seven Oaks Hotel on Friday, February 18. Tickets can be purchased in Deane’s shop or from club treasurer Mary Doyle, club registrar Peter Scully or any committee member. Medals will be presented on the night to five successful Tinryland teams and also the Bennekerry- Tinryland ladies team that won the Co. Minor and Junior championships.
On Monday last Tinryland G.F.C. launched the 2005 club development draw to be run in conjunction with Carlow Co.G.A.A. board. The draw to be run over four months beginning on March 26th will have a prize fund of 90000 with superb prizes on offer each month. Prizes will include a Ford Fiesta in the March draw, a Toyota Yaris in the April draw, a Nissan Micra in the May draw and a Volkswagon Polo for the final draw on 25th June. There will be another great prize on offer for the final draw of a trip to Australia for two persons to the compromise rules games in the Autumn of 2005. With huge developments taking place in the club an urgent call is made to all Tinryland G.F.C. members and supporters to make a big effort to make the draw a big success as funds are badly needed to complete the development of the new floodlit pitch due to be opened this summer.
JUVENILE TRAINING SESSIONS AT TINRYLAND G.F.C. Tinryland U16 footballers began training for the new season on Saturday February 12th. Tinryland U14s are already back in training with sessions taking place on Friday’s at 6 p.m.
