Success for Tinryland GAA Teams at County level

As the Carlow G.A.A. season enters in to the month of August a record number of teams from Tinryland are still very much involved in Carlow league and championship competitions. At adult level the Intermediate team are well clear in division 2 of the S.F.L. having secured full points in all 8 games played to date. The Intermediates are also one game away from a semi final spot in the I.F.C. and will play St. Andrews in their final group game in three weeks time. At Junior level Brian Doyle’s squad recently secured a vital win against St. Patrick’s to maintain their interest in the SFL Division 4 and if they win their remaining league game they too will be guaranteed a semi final spot in the league.
At minor level Tinryland under Paddy Townsend and John Barrett are unbeaten in all seven league games and they defeated Burrin Rangers in the league semi final last evening (Tuesday) at Kildavin. The MFC will commence shortly and hopes are high that Tinryland can finally win a Co. Minor title having been defeated in four of the last five Co. Minor finals.
At juvenile level Tinryland has already had a great season having won the All Ireland Feile at U14 level with the U12 team reaching the Co. division 1 final. The u12s are also involved in the latter stages of the John Finn cup competition.
The U14s have also reached the Co. division 1 semi final and they will play Mount Leinster Rangers on August 23rd. At U16 level Tinryland has done very well to date and will reach the semi final if they can defeat Fenagh in their final game in Tinryland on Tuesday 17th August.
Tinryland also has teams competing at U8 and U10 level and both of these teams have also performed very well in recent games.
