A fun run/walk in aid of the Holy Angels Day Care centre, Carlow takes place on Wed July 5th in Tinryland at 7 pm. Entries are 10 Euro. All proceeds will go towards the Holy Angels. The winner is the person who finishes nearest to their predicted time. There will be a large number of spot prizes on the night.

Tinryland Athletes put up a great show at the Leinster Juvenile Track and Field Championships in Tullamore on Sunday last. The team won a magnificent total of 2 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Deirdre Doyle had a fine race to win Gold in the Girls U17 1500m.
She now competes in the Tailteann games on Saturday and will hope to win the Girls Marathon in the Carlow Community Games on Sunday.
Tommy Monahan won an excellent gold in the Boys U14 2000m Walk while Mary Ann O’Sullivan was narrowly beaten in the Girls U14 walk with Eleanor Purcell taking silver in the Girls U16 event.
Peter Morgan won silver in the Boys U17 Long Jump and Shot while bronze medals were won by Patrick Mullins in the Boys U18 1500m and Chris Costello in the U17 200m.
Community Games finals
Bennekerry/Tinryland Community Games athletic team had a very successful day in Ardattin on Sunday. The team collected 94 points to fail by ten to first time winners Ballon/Rathoe. The team had several fine individual performances and won no fewer than seven relays on the day. The area will represent Carlow in Mosney with four teams, u12 boys, u14 girls, u16 boys and girls.
