There were some notable performances by Tinryland athletes at the Carlow Senior and Juvenile Track and Field Championships in Ardattin on Sunday last.
Dwayne Farrell was a fine winner of the Senior Mens 3000m Race while Niall, Stephanie and Jennifer Murphy all won their individual events in style. Peter and Kate Morgan were also impressive winners of their respective long jump events. The results were as follows:

Girls Under 13 80m: 1st- Stephanie Murphy, Girls Under 14 100m: 1st- Jennifer Murphy, Girls Under 14 800m: 2nd- Eleanor Purcell, Girls Under 14 Long Jump: 1st- Kate Morgan 3rd- Jennifer Murphy, Girls Under 15 Hurdles: 1st- Emma Brennan, Girls Under 15 Shot Putt: 2nd- Emma Brennan, Girls Under 15 Long Jump: 1st- Kate Morgan 2nd- Jennifer Murphy, Junior Ladies 200m: 2nd- Michelle Cummins Junior Ladies Long Jump: 3rd- Michelle Cummins Senior Women 800m: 1st- Michelle Cummins Senior Women Discus: 2nd- Michelle Cummins, Girls Under 15 Relay: 1st- Tinryland
