Tinryland Athletes Win Leinster Medals
Tinryland Juvenile athlete Amanda Cassidy won a Gold Medal in the Girls Under 15 100m at the Leinster Championships in Tullamore on Sunday last. The Kernanstown girl is in great form at the moment and was a fine winner of the County Under 14 Community Games 100m the previous week as well as anchoring her relay team to victory.
Niall Murphy emerged with two silver medals in the Boys Under17 100m and 200m while his sister Stephanie won Gold in the Girls Under 13 80m.
Kate Morgan continues her progress in the Long Jump, winning silver with a fine leap of 4 m 57 cm while her brother Peter was 4th in the Shot Putt and reached the Under 16 100m Final.
Deirdre Doyle continued her return to form by finishing 4th in the Girls Under 15 800m and 1500m with Jennifer Murphy 4th in the 80m and 5th in the 200 Final. Patrick Mullins did well to finish 4th in the Boys Under 16 3000m.
