Community Games
The Bennekerry/Tinryland Boys and Girls U/13 and U11 Mixed Basketball teams took part in Carlow Community Games last week.

The U13 Girls played against St Lazerians and the U/13 Boys played against Askea.

The U/13 Girls played a great game but were beaten by St Lazerians .

The Boys U/13 won their first round by beating Askea. They then went on to play Ballon/Rathoe in the Semi final but were eventually beaten by Ballon/Rathoe.

The U/13 Girls team were

Kayleigh Kelly, Katie Hickey, Robyn Kennedy, Holly McGrath, Kayla Holohan and Ciara Moore

The U/13 Boys team were

Paddy Regan, Jack Murphy, Paul Dermody, Lee Dowling, Brian McMahon, Brian McGrath, Darragh Brennan and Evan McGuire.

The U/11 Mixed played Askea in the semi-final where they progressed to the Final by beating Askea. The then went on to play Graiguecullen in the final but Graiguecullen emerged as the overall winners

The team were

Ruairi Scully, Jill Farrell, Matthew Farrell, Cillian Moore, Ria Mullins, Eva Doyle, Aoife Hickeson, Jack Dunne Emer Glesson , Kian McGuire.

Well done to the kids who represented Bennekerry/Tinryland and to their trainers Greg Doyle, Eddie Corcoran, Conor O'Brien and Peter Scully

Tinryland Tidy Towns

Tinryland Tidy Towns held their annual fundraiser in GAA clubhouse on Sunday night March 16th. Funds are needed to buy extra shrubs to brighten up the village for the coming year. There was door prizes, and a raffle on the night also. Music was provided by D.J James Brennan.

Tinryland Womens Group

Tinryland Womens Group have no meetings on Monday 17th March, but will be back to crochet class on Monday 24th March in the parish hall at 9:20am, and on Monday 24th at 8:15pm we will have a short AGM before Bingo. Everyone welcome.
