The death took place on Sunday January 19th last of Mrs. Kathleen (Kitty) Gaul of Ballycarney. Kitty (nee O'Brien) was aged 84 years and was one of a family of 15 and was renowned as a very welcoming friendly person. She was predeceased by her husband Harry and is survived by her children Michael, May, Renee, Pat, Martina, Clare, John and Aisling. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister brothers, sisters-in-Law, brother-in-law ,nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Remains were removed from Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Barrack St to St. Joseph's Church, Tinryland arriving for 7pm Mass on Monday January 20th. Funeral Mass took place on Tuesday with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deepest sympathy is extended to Paudge Curtis, Tinryland on the death of his sister Sr. Elizabeth Curtis formerly of Adamstown, Wexford who died after a long illness in Fairfield, California on Friday January 24th last. Funeral took place in the Holy Faith Convent, Glasnevin with burial in the adjoining cemetery on Monday February 3rd.
Deepest sympathy is extended to James Burke, Ballybar on the death of his father James (Jim) Burke formerly of Ballinasloe who died in Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal on Wednesday January 8th last. Funeral took place in Ballinasloe on Saturday January 11th.
The Trees Montessori.

Congratulations to the U10, U12,and U14 Draughts teams who won the County Finals last Sunday. Bennekerry/Tinryland were well represented in the U/15 Table Quiz and took bronze medals in the Carlow Community Games competition

The U/15 Badminton team were narrowly defeated by Myshall. The team was Aidan Slyne, Conor Hickson, Conal O'Mahony, Nikita Fennelly and Keryl Fennelly Well done to all who took part in the events.
