Reaching Out Parish Magazine 2010.
The annual magazine is now in preparation. All clubs, organisations,
individuals and the school are invited to submit articles, reports,
interesting old photos or photos of special events during the year such as
award ceremonies, graduations etc. If possible please email (.doc or .jpg
files) to email@example.com or post/deliver to Maureen Byrne, "St.
Gerard's", Ballybar Upper, Carlow by Friday November 19th. All
contributions are welcome.
St Stephens Day Turkey Trot
The annual Tinryland AC Turkey Trot over 4 miles will take place in Tinryland Village on
December 26th at 12 am. The event is open to runners, joggers and walkers alike. For more
information contact Sean at 087-2509520.
This years proceedings will go towards Tinryland National School.
Tinryland NS Parents Council AGM
The AGM took place recently of The Parents' Council, Tinryland N.S. It was well attended
and the following officers were elected for the coming school year:

Assistant Secretary: Mary Regan
Assistant Treasurer: Liz Kennedy
Free Pre School Places
Due to the high demand for the free pre school places provided by the ECCE
Scheme, Suantrai Montessori School Tinryland is now enrolling for September
2011. We are experiencing high volumes of both enquiries and enrolments so
if you would prefer your child to attend pre school in your local area, is
would be advisable to book as soon as possible. For further information,

Tinryland Parent and Toddler Group.
Tinryland Parent and Toddler Group will meet every Wednesday morning
from 9.30am till 11.30am, in the Parish Hall. Parents are very
welcome to drop in for a friendly chat and a cuppa, while their
children have the opportunity to play.
In the Draw of Wed Oct 27, the winning numbers were 11, 14, 21 and 26. The jackpot was
won in Mountmellick Parish. The Tinryland winners were Margaret Donoghue and Breda Moore.
Books of tickets can be collected any week from either Deane's Shop,
Church Sacristy andthe Parochial House.
CRISP Computer Courses
ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) course will be starting in
all CRISP centres in November. Important qualification to have if you
are following a career in Office Work.
