Carlow Sports Star Award
The Bennekerry/Tinryland Girls Under 14 Football team have won the Nationalist County
Carlow Sports Star Quarterly award from July to September. The club will be presented
with the award on Friday October 15th at 8 pm in the Seven Oaks Hotel. All support would
be appreciated on the night.
Tinryland Parent and Toddler Group.
Tinryland Parent and Toddler Group will meet every Wednesday morning
from 9.30am till 11.30am, in the Parish Hall. Parents are very
welcome to drop in for a friendly chat and a cuppa, while their
children have the opportunity to play.
Training for all Tinryland AC Juvenile Athletes will take place in Old
Leighlin on Monday and Friday nights at 7 pm over the coming months. For more
information contact any member of the committee.
CPR & Defibrillator Training:
Carlow Community & Voluntary Forum have organised CPR & Defibrillator
training in the following areas: Askea Parish centre Sat October 16,
9am to 12.30pm and from 1pm to 4.30 Tullow November 13, 9am to
12.30pm and 1pm to 4.30pm, Sat November 27, Bagenalstown 9am ? 12.30
pm and from 1pm to 4.30. Saturday December 11, Askea Parish centre
9am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 4.30pm Clubs, Community groups and
organisations can avail of this valuable training. The CPR and
Defibrillator training takes 3.5 hours and is accredited by the Irish
Heart Foundation. Each course can accommodated 6 participants and
places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The cost
of the Training is subsidised by the Carlow Community & Voluntary
Forum and therefore can be offered to affiliated members at the
reduced price of ?15 per person, your group/organisation can nominate
2 members to partake in the training. Participants must be affiliated
to the Carlow Community & Voluntary Forum. For more information on

Closing date for claim of Carlow County Council Environmental Grants is
fast approaching. All claims accompanied by relevant documentation must
be submitted on or before 29th October. Any claims made after this date
