Development of Tennis Club
August 24th 2010
To the Tinryland Parish Community
We in Tidy Towns group are working in partnership with the Tennis Club trustees to develop the tennis club grounds as a community amenity area. As part of this project we hope to include the following:
Re-surface the tennis courts
Create an astro turf pitch
Construct a playground for children
Design an amenity/walking area for seniors
We expect the costs to be in the region of €150,000.
Carlow Rural Development will fund 75% of the cost if our application is successful, and we have to raise 25% ourselves.
This would be in the region of €40,000.
We are asking for your help to reach our target by any of the following means:
A donation of any amount
A loan of a larger amount which would be repaid in due course.
To date, we have received 4 loans of €2000, so with your help our target can be achieved. If you are in a position to help please make your cheque payable to 'Tinryland Area Development Association”. Our funding must be in place by September 17th, so we would appreciate any donation/loan before Friday Sept.10th. Contributions can be left into Deane's, Parochial Hse or given to any committee member.
Our sincerest thanks to you all,
Fr. John McEvoy Jim Deane
