Macdara Burke of Ballybar won the Boys Under 16 Art Competition in the Carlow Community Games Finals in Askea last week. He will now go on to compete in the National finals in Athlone in August.
The area also won two silver medals with Fionnan Burke taking silver in Boys Under 14 competition while Roisin O'Brien was also runner up in the Girls Under 14 category.
Eighties Night
ST JOSEPH'S JUVENILE A.F.C. Are having an 80's disco night on Saturday 6th
March 2010, At The Leinster Hills Golf Club 9pm till late.
There will be a bus travelling to and from the disco with pickup from Askea
Church at 8.45pm (5.00 return) and from Tinryland Church at 9.00 pm (5.00

Aerobic Classes
Aerobic classes in Tinryland GAA: County Carlow Women's Network in conjunction with Carlow Local Sports Partnership have organised Aerobic classes in Tinryland GAA clubhouse.
The classes will run for 7 Monday nights starting Mon 8th March, from 8 pm to 9.30 pm. (No class on Easter Bank holiday Mon 5th April). Cost for the course of 7 classes is 20.

Scripture Sharing
The theme is "Model Your Life on the mystery of the Lord's Cross". The Tinryland Group continues in the Parish Hall at 8 pm on the Thursdays of Lent. All are welcome to attend.
Spring Summer Fashion Show
There will be a Spring Summer Fashion Show in aid of Tinryland National School and a proposed extension on Thursday March 25th 2010 commencing at 8.30 pm sharp in the Seven Oaks Hotel. Tickets are 20 with a door prize and raffle on the night. The compere will be Faith Amond. Tickets are currently selling very well for this event.
