St Stephens Day Turkey Trot
The annual Tinryland AC Turkey Trot over 4 miles will take place in Tinryland Village on December 26th at 11 am. The event is open to runners, joggers and walkers alike. The first walker will be start at 11.30 am. The
winner will be the person closest to their predicted time (no watches allowed!) and there will be prizes to all finishers. For more informationcontact Sean at 087-2509520.
This years proceedings will go towards Saint Vincent De Paul.
Senior Citizens Party
Tinryland Senior Citizens had a very enjoyable Christmas Party in the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow
on Sunday last. There was a large attendance on the day with much satisfaction with the way the
party was organised.
Parent, Baby and Toddler group:
It is proposed to commence in January 2010 a Parent and Baby – Toddler
Group to meet in the Parish Hall on Wednesdays from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. A
small fee will apply. This will be a great way for preschool children and
babies to socialise and for parents to get together. If interested, please

to give an idea of numbers.
FREE PRE-SCHOOL PLACES:
Under the new Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme being launched by
the Government in January 2010, all children with birth dates between 2 Feb 2005 and 30 June 2006 will be eligible for five days free Pre-School
per week for one year. Those children born after June 2006 will qualify
for the free place in September 2010. Early Registration is recommended.
Places are limited. Suantrai Montessori School, Tinryland will be

In the Draw of Wed 9 December the winning numbers were 3, 8, 22, 24. Note:the final Lotto Draw in 2009 is on Wed 23 December. The Lotto resumes in 2010
on Wed 6 January. No Lotto on Wed 30 December.
