The wedding took place in Ballintubber Abbey Co.Mayo on Thursday October 29th last of Grainne O'Neill, Staplestown, daughter of Tommy and Goretti and Declan Murtagh
of Swinford Co. Mayo. The best man was Enda Murtagh (brother of the groom) and the bridesmaid was Eimear O'Neill (sister of bride). A large number of family and friends travelled
to the wedding and the reception was held in Ballina.
Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Stephanie Townsend, Ballyloo on the death of her mother Molly Bowen (nee Lyons) of Dun Laoghaire, Dublin and formerly of Killeshin who died in Carlow last week.
She is also survived by her sons, daughters, brother Dave, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Removal took place on Sunday evening at 7pm to the Church of the Holy Cross, Killeshin, Carlow, arriving for 7.30pm. Funeral Mass was held on Monday in The Church of the Holy Family, Kill o the Grange, Dublin, at 10am.
Burial took place afterwards in Deans Grange Cemetery.
In the Draw of Wed 28 October the winning numbers were 22, 26, 31, and 32.
Two winners got €500 each for matching 3 numbers.
Go Leir Womens Group
GoLeir Women's Group is hosting a coffee morning in the Askea Parish Centre on Tuesday 10 November from 10 am to 12 noon in aid of the
Carlow Hospice Fund. Come along and bring a friend for a morning of chat, tea, buns and a raffle to support this worthwhile cause.

Ministers of Eucharist
Training for Ministers of the Eucharist: A three-night Training Course
will take place in Baltinglass Parish Centre on the Wednesdays 11th
and 18th November. We would like a few more Parishioners to offer to serve
in this ministry. Contact Fr John McEvoy.
Carlow Fairtrade Group has been established since 2005 and through the
dedicated work of the Fairtrade Committee; Carlow achieved Fairtrade
status in 2007. Products with the Fairtrade mark guarantee that Producers
in developing countries get a fair price for their produce. The group
meets once a month and organise events to heighten awareness of Fairtrade
within Carlow Town and to encourage local business to stock Fairtrade
