Racketball Competition

Tinryland GFC Racketball Singles Competition to start in November. Open to
Male and female. Players must be members of Tinryland GFC and be aged 16
years or over.
Entries with names and mobile numbers to Bar staff. Fee of €10 must be
paid on entry. Closing date for entry is 6th November. For more

Athletics

Tinryland Athletes fared very well at the Gerry Farnan Cross Country on
Sunday last which also was the qualifying event for the Home
Internationals Masters Cross Country.

Tommy Payne 2nd (Masters over 50) and brothers JJ 2nd (Masters over 55)
and Peter Murphy 2nd (Masters over 60) all qualified to represent Ireland
in the forthcoming internationals.

Jeremiah O'Sullivan 6th (Masters over 45) and Eddie Walsh 7th (Masters
over 50) are both waiting to find out if they will be selected for the
Irish team.

Computer Course

Computers for Beginners course will be starting in CRISP Castle Hill on
Wednesday 28th October at 7pm. This is an 8 week course 2hrs per session.
Cost is subsidised at €80 reduced from €135. Book early to reserve your

Support Groups

Next Cuidiú breastfeeding support groups Askea Parish centre, Carlow Tues
Nov 3, 10-11:30, Breastfeeding and expecting mothers welcome.If coming

Ministers of Eucharist

Training for Ministers of the Eucharist: A three-night Training Course
will take place in Baltinglass Parish Centre on the Wednesdays 4th, 11th
and 18th November. We would like a few more Parishioners to offer to serve
in this ministry. Contact Fr John McEvoy.

New Service

Carlow Contact is a new Service, which is now being offered to Older
Persons in
Carlow City & County based at St Catherines Community Service Centre, St
Josephs
Road Carlow and funded by the Health Service Executive. We are currently
seeking
Volunteers to Befriend /Visit Older Persons. If you have an interest in
working with
older people, are a good listener and able to make a commitment of one or
two hours

Open Day

Knockbeg College will hold their Open Day on Sunday November 8th next. All
are welcome to attend.

Music Lessons

Enrolment is now taking place for guitar and drum lessons for next term.
