WEBSITE: There has been a recent addition to the Tinryland Parish website. Since last week, there is now a satellite image map on the site which enables users to navigate around an aerial photo of the Tinryland village and surrounding area.
Since the launch of the website in June 2004, the site gas proved to be extremely successful and has attracted over 20,000 visitors from Ireland and countries all over the world. The Tinryland Parish Website can be accessed at www.tinryland.ie. The image map can be accessed on the main homepage or by clicking the link on the front page "about the area" and going to the aerial photo option.
AGM: The Bennekerry-Tinryland Ladies Football Club AGM will be held in the Tinryland GAA Centre, Rathcrogue on Tuesday January 30 next at 9 pm. The club had a very successful past year winning Carlow titles in all age groups. All are welcome to attend.
LADY LUCK: strikes a second time for Edmund For the second time in 6 months Edmund Hayden of Ballinacarrig was the main prize winner in the Tinryland G.F.C. supporters club monthly draw. Edmunds number was drawn from the drum when the January draw was held in the clubhouse on Saturday 6th January. The February draw will take place on Saturday 10th February. Tickets are now on sale for the annual Tinryland G.F.C. dinner dance which will be held in the Seven Oaks hotel on Friday 9th February at 8.30 pm. The U21 medals and the S.F.L. division 3 medals will be presented at this function. Tickets cost e25 each and players who are receiving medals can purchase their ticket for e15. Music on the night will be provided by Penny Lane.
SYMPATHY: Deepest sympathy is extended to Eamonn Redmond, Tinryland on the death of his mother Josephine (Jo) Redmond, Misterin, Adamstown Co. Wexford on Wednesday January 10th. Removal took place from her residence to St. Abban's Church, Adamstown on Friday last at 8 o'clock. Funeral Mass took place on Saturday last at 3 pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
