CAROL SERVICE: St Joseph’s Juvenile AFC would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Christmas Carol Service on December 12. There was a great turn out on the night. All donations received were passed on to St. Vincent De Paul to be given to children less fortunate this Christmas.The generosity of all was acknowledged & accepted with gratitude by Alec Purser, an SVP Rep.,on the night. The club would like to take this opportunity to thank all who contributed to this event,to Robert O’Neill and Tinryland’s Variety Group , Tinryland Choir , Tinryland School - Staff & Students, Mary O’Neill , Mick Kelly and Mrs. O’Neill. A special word of thanks to Fr, McEvoy and to Liz Kennedy for the Trojan work she put in to this project.To Alec Purser from SVP, And also a special word of Thanks to all the children andparents who attended on the night, to make it a success. It was great to see the large numbers.Thank you one and all for helping make this a great night.Hopefully it can become an annual event.

CHRISTMAS MASS TIMES: The following are the times of Christmas services in St. Joseph’s Church, Tinryland. The Vigil Mass will be at 9.00 pm on December 24. There will also be Masses at 9.00 am and 11.00 am on Christmas Day, December 25.

There will now also be a special Children’s Mass in the church at 6 pm on Christmas Eve.

REACHING OUT: The 2006 Reaching Out Emigrants letter is now in circulation. The 40 page publication includes a new graduates and awards sections and a wide range of articles from many contributors ranging from trips to Africa to the “Peters Pence Collection”. There are also many detailed accounts of the many sporting, cultural and religious events in the parish for the past year together with a wide range of photographs from the past and present.

The Reaching Out Magazine can be purchased in Deane’s Shop or in St. Josephs Church and is excellent value at just 5 Euro. Great credit is once again due to Maureen Byrne, editor on another outstanding magazine.
