CHRISTMAS PARTY: A party for Tinryland Senior Citizens takes place on Sunday, December 11 at 5.30pm. The meal will be followed by dancing and the music is by Nicky Kealy. Guest appearance by members of Tinryland Variety Group. SYMPATHY: Deepest sympathy is extended to Anne Marie Grant, Kilmeaney and family on the death of her father Denis, Kilmeaney and formerly of Carlow during the week.
Requiem Mass took place at 11 am on Friday in the Cathedral of the Assumption and the burial took place afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
CARLOW CHORAL SOCIETY: Christmas concert in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow on Saturday, December 3 at 8.30pm. The program includes the Magnificat by Bach, Excerpts of the Christmas Oratorio by Bach and other Christmas favourites. Tickets available in Sacristy for •20/•18.
VARIETY GROUP : Training for the variety group has resumed and will be held every Tuesday night at 8:00pm in the clubhouse. Open to anybody over 16 interested in singing, drama or dance. New members young and old welcome.
CARLOW WOMENS AID: Carlow Womens Aid provides information, support and counselling service for women who are experiencing or have experienced violence in the home. New volunteers urgently needed.
MILFORD GFC: The AGM of Milford GFC takes place in the Dolmen Hotel at 7.30pm on Friday, December 2.
CHURCH GATE COLLECTION: Recent Church gate collections held at Askea and Tinryland Church in aid of breast cancer amounted to •480. Many thanks to all who supported.
