WATER SUPPLY: A large number of householders in the Tinryland area were left without water for extended periods over the past week. Water for the most basic household tasks proved impossible as taps ran dry much to the inconvenience and annoyance of local residents.
Carlow County Council now feel that the problems regarding the water supply which have been occurring on an ongoing basis in recent months have been resolved.
YOUTH MASS: There will be a Youth Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Tinryland on Sunday next, July 24 at 11 am. Anyone interesting in participating should contact Robert O’Neill, Tinryland. WEXFORD TOUR: There will a coach tour to Wexford on Saturday, July 23 visiting Fr. ROME PILGRIMAGE: There will be a pilgrimage to Rome and San Giovanni for Bagenalstown and surrounding parishes for 7 nights starting on Friday, August 19. This trip includes a guided of Rome and visits to St. Peter’s Square, the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and Trevi Fountain. Also visiting the tombs of Pope John Paul’s and Padre Pio at San Giovanni. PILGRIMAGE: The St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Island, Wexford takes place on Sunday, July 24.
