St. Stephens Day Handicap
The Annual Tinryland AC Turkey Trot will take place on St. Stephens Day in Tinryland Village at 12 am. The 4-mile handicap is sponsored for again this year by Carlow Credit Union. The event is open to runners, joggers and walkers alike. The presentation of prizes will take place afterwards in the Tinryland GAA Centre. There will be prizes to all who complete the handicap.
Registration will take place in the school from 11.30 am onwards.
World Youth Day
(Cologne, 14-21 Aug, 2005.) this is intended for 17-30 year olds. Cost is approx. €499. this covers travel, basic food, and accommodation. The event is a youth pilgrimage involving lots of varied activities. Booking forms available in the Church Sacristy and porches. Bookings/Deposits due by 17th December 2004. Those interested should get in touch with the Parish Priest soon. Note the deadline for returning the completed forms. The deposit is €100.
Tinryland National School
The children of Fr. Cullen Memorial School will have their Christmas Concert next week. There will be a matinee on Friday next December 17th at 12.30 pm – open to all. On the following Monday night, December 20th, the show begins at 7:30 pm sharp. Because of limited space the night show has been confined to parents only.
