Friday night I went down to the club for a quiet pint to find a bunch of blow ins having a soccer do.the most disgusting and disrespectful part was that the soccer jerseys were hanging over the pictures of our forefathers in their past glory.its a disgrace

2) martinSunday 7 Nov 2010 @ 19:19

club man that's where the club falls; living on the past /living on the past wens noting in the future

3) peterpanSunday 7 Nov 2010 @ 23:30

absolutely disrespectful carry on. . . making a mockery of the club

4) alsoranMonday 8 Nov 2010 @ 17:21

clubman, i think our forefathers would be equally disgusted that you did not make your complaint on the night. how could you ollow this to happen. you should be ashamed to admit you were there.

5) legendMonday 8 Nov 2010 @ 17:30

Lads, Get a life. There was a soccer function in the club but they were adding to the bar revenue on the night. Whats wrong with the club helping out another club in the parish. Should we go back to the bad old days when the ban was in force and women were not allowed to vote

6) johnboyMonday 8 Nov 2010 @ 17:33

well well well what do we have here? typical conservative attitude on this forum and in this area! peterpan i think you should go back to the fairytale you are living in. I was down fri night and it was a great night ( music, food, prizes and fun). everyone was happy. also there was a great turnout which aided the bar sales at the end of the night. I guess you didnt go to the youths match on saturday or the seniors on sunday to vent your anger clubman? both teams won by the day. well done to all the organising committee on fri night guys, i had a ball!

7) johnboyMonday 8 Nov 2010 @ 17:37

(R.E. Legend) here here

8) bernardMonday 8 Nov 2010 @ 17:49

well clubman im sorry if a bunch of tinryland pepole interupted your fri night plans, that was never the intension. We were always made feel welcome in the club and if this is not the case im sure the club will inform us. I think it would take more than a soccer jersey to tarnish the reputation of someone like Brendan Hayden. On behalf of st Josephs im sorry if we caused offence. bernard mullen leader of the blow ins

9) anotherblowinMonday 8 Nov 2010 @ 21:19

Re comment from clubman. u should be ashamed to call yourself a clubman. your nothing but a coward, why didn't you just go home if the blowins upset you so much. it was a great night and you must have been the only one there that did not enjoy it. no wonder the bar is doing so bad with CLUBMEN like you involved in it. congrats to bernard and that organised it but to be honest i would think twice about supporting our club again with such narrow minded people in it. ps. music and food were brilliant

some clubman, what a clown ,its the likes of you that will destroy the club and the memory of all the great men and women that built it up,it would suit you better to insure its future by incouraging everyone to be involved in helping out with the kids like bernard is in the soccer club.engage your brain before you open your mouth!!!

12) arsenalTuesday 9 Nov 2010 @ 20:05

WELL CLUBMAN YOU ARENT TOO VOCAL SINCE YOUR LITTLE OUTBURST ABOUT THE "BLOWINNS" DISTURBING YOUR QUITE FRI NIGHT PINT,ONLY FOR THESE LADS HELPING OUT AT UNDER AGE LEVELS THE FIELD WOULD BE AS QUITE AS THE BAR

13) peterpanTuesday 9 Nov 2010 @ 20:17

the soccer club held a function in the club house big deal!! john boy calm down . . no need to be so quick to snap the head off people . .and revenue in the club is good revenue in these hard times. at the end of the day its the community spirit that counts, not people bitching and eating the heads off each other on this forum.

14) tinrylandgirlTuesday 9 Nov 2010 @ 20:48

clubman if you were any member you would thank the people for spending there money down there not like you and the rest where you hand in 20 euro for a pint and get back 25.. anyway if tinryland gaa was anygood you would be coverin pictures from last years final haha stop your wingeing and go buy a creat of bottles and sit at home if your that upset.. oh yes if the pitch is not bing used next year the soccer club would be interested in takeing it for next year :D:D

15) seanTuesday 9 Nov 2010 @ 20:49

I for one think it's disgraceful. Never before would an event for a foreign sport be held in our GAA club and there is a reason why we don't allow them in. Chairmen of the past would have stood up and stopped this kind of carry on in it's tracks.

16) tinrylandgirlTuesday 9 Nov 2010 @ 20:56

ah stop lord god sure what are you going to do about birthdays and discos no wonder why its the same shit every night down there the club is for the parish not for a fool like you now get a life for a change you sayin about a blowin look where you live sean haa should stop you even from binging on this site you blowin

Birthdays and discos aren't a foreign sport, Birthdays and discos didn't kill 14 people in croke park back in the 1920's. As for me being a blowin, ive spent more time in the parish than you ever will and ive done more for that club than any tinrylandgirl ever will

19) tinrylandgirlTuesday 9 Nov 2010 @ 21:49

26) bernardWednesday 10 Nov 2010 @ 18:00

I think this topic has run its course now. Time to live and let live.best wishes to all. PS come and see our girls play at home on saturday at 2pm v Thomastown Bernard

27) seanWednesday 10 Nov 2010 @ 22:56

tinrylandgirl i hope you didn't go to tinryland school because your spelling is atrocious(bad)

28) legendSunday 14 Nov 2010 @ 9:34

Well done to the girls yesterday on their 3rd victory in a row against Thomastown winning 4-2. I watched the game and was very impressed with all the players skills. This is a team going places

29) bernardSunday 14 Nov 2010 @ 10:51

thank you legend and all others who braved the weather yesterday to support the girls, it gave them a great lift against a very strong Thomastown team who were unbeaten up to yesterday. Looking foward to your continued support .

30) TinrylandLADWednesday 17 Nov 2010 @ 18:35

As a Tinryland man and a strong GFC man, I'm ashamed to see the likes of this carry on taking place on this page. The night the soccer club held in the club recently was done to raise a few pound and to display the new kits they now have. It shows the progress which is happening in OUR small local soccer club and fair play to them. The music on the night was very good and fair play to Eddie,Paddy,Brian,Cillian,Mick and the Róisín Dubh crew for that, also the food on the night ws delicious and went down really well. Clubman, if you were any good you'd sign your name to your comments and maybe take some of the advice TinrylandGirl suggested into consideration. If you noticed, some former GAA ledgends were present on the night and were praising the work of the 'blowins'. If you had any cop on you would move on with the times and stop trying to cause uproar. It's people like you who have the club the way it is, alwys giving out, the (know-it-alls) as I once heard people call your kind down there.

31) footballerWednesday 17 Nov 2010 @ 18:44

here here i totally understand where your comeing from tinrylandlad i no you were doin a lot of work over their keeping the place looking well and you didnt get a bit of thanks for it. the only person that i see getting anything is that clubman who gets everything for nothing and thinks hes the big man. its about time all them 'know it all' got sorted out. any time i go over to the club for a quite drink their is only the usually 3 or 4 and to see a crowd like what was in it was great. their was great music their and it was one of the best nights their in a long while!!!!!!!!

32) clubmanThursday 25 Nov 2010 @ 4:16

ye are full of it.none of the footballers have the courage to be champions.all they want is to have a fashinoable injury (hamstring) and so thay can throw a few shapes and blame it on the injury.none of ye have the heart to win fuckall

You are a sad individual Clubman. get off this forum and allow a few intelligent contributors to have their say. You have exhausted this subject.
