This year was the 31st year of the Rockford Roof tile road race. It was the biggest and best by a long way. It was great to see what a small community can do, from the car parking stewards, course stewards, refreshment committee, organising committee. Its came a long way since 1979, when the entryies were taken in the small thatched cottage next to the Church.

Take a bow all those involved with last Saturdays race. It showed the large no of visitors that Tinryland is a vibrant place. Great race and well organised. Well done to the footballers also on qualifying for the Knockout stages of the Senior championship.

hi folks, Bernard Mullen here, i decided to catch up with the times and finally learned enough about how to use this web site. I gust want to spread the news about st Josephs afc and all that we are up to for comming season. Our juv section kicks off this weekend so i wish all our teams well for the comming season. You may not yet know but we have joined forces with our senior soccer team and we look foward to a bright future together as one. st Josephs now has a team at every level from senior to under 6.we are also in the process of starting a girls u 14 team. anyone who would like to come and join us would be more than welcome. our weekly match minutes fundraiser begins this weekend and will for rest of season, your support would be greatly appreciated . Finally weldone too all who organised the rockford road race , it is amasing what a can do attitude can achieve. I look foward to talking to you all during the season and taking on board your suggestions. come along and support the Saints.

Well said Bernard, was at the training last night and it was good to see all the numbers there. Also great news that finally, the seniors and juveniles have become one, should have happened from the start in my opinion. Also good to see yourself over the senior team, they need a bit of stability for once.Best of luck for the year ahead.
