2) martinWednesday 24 Dec 2008 @ 21:01

happy xmas and a happy new year 2 ye all in 2009 hope it will be cracker

3) johnboyFriday 9 Jan 2009 @ 20:23

a big name to take them over? do u mean a person held in high regard by the club or just someone who has alot of letters in their name? i guess we'll have to wait and see. happy new year everyone1

4) seanyWednesday 14 Jan 2009 @ 13:09

good question johnboy, maybe he does have alot of letters in his name.we will have to wait and see.apparantly they are mad to match the feats of the junior A team last year.and with players like david o neill, john kelly(back from america),mark doran(garda siochana),padraig minnock(physio)and cian moore(a daddy),the future looks bright.oh and youngsters like joey ryan and most of the other minor's.anyone else hear anything else from the agm?

5) johnboyWednesday 14 Jan 2009 @ 20:27

wat about all them guys u named? u never said anythin...surely they wont all b returnin

6) clubmanWednesday 14 Jan 2009 @ 21:00

wow!with those big names back the future does look very bright!i hear they are over in the revamped clubhouse gym training like cunts

7) seanyThursday 15 Jan 2009 @ 15:26

oh yes, there all coming back alright, every one of them.all in th gym to,especially davy.alot of these will be taken off by the seniors though so they may be limited playing junior.i reckon the club will make a clean sweep this year like 2004!!

8) legendThursday 15 Jan 2009 @ 18:06

Great to see Davy Nail back. I reckon he will push Trevor all the way for the No. one keeper spot this year. You cant beat competition. Heard also that E I has finally seen the light and will give it an honest go this year. No good news from the Doran camp though. Colm will not be returning this year

9) johnboyFriday 16 Jan 2009 @ 17:59

on my travels the other mornin i found an old newspaper, (august 2004)the pic and report was of tinryland MFL winners and red hot favourites for the MFC. wat surprised me tho was the team and panel that day and their whereabouts now? i wont lie it disappointed me that some of these guys just didnt bother their **** to continue playin at the top level. team that day david o nell, k o neill, peter doran, patrick townsend, john murphy(c), brian byrne, chris townsend, evan doyle, martin curran, daniel o boyle, p broderick, ian scully, colm doran, richard whyte, padraig townsend, plus a star studded subs bench.. more of the same please. oh and tinryland beat rathvilly by 10 points that day.

10) LegendFriday 16 Jan 2009 @ 18:12

Not too many have progressed to senior ranks all right Johnboy. That is not unusual though as Eire Og would have the same result except that they are producing a lot more players each year due to their large pick. I think the problem with Tinryland is that the players do not want to put in the required effort to go the extra mile required to win a major trophy. They always have some excuse or other and are not really willing to put in the work. Social footballers I would call them

11) seanyFriday 16 Jan 2009 @ 23:17

Jaysus, what were ya the odd's of stumbling across that just on your travels!!!!ah ye the follow through to senior is small alright, they've prob all played junior at some stage alright but not enough senior.good news about E I if that is the truth, him and a certain shane D. trained about once last year and came to a few game's.ye may put in the effort lads's.hear training starts back in the first week of feb.they are waiting until the x factor is over:)

12) johnboyMonday 19 Jan 2009 @ 1:12

yes i know. that was a great team. the half back line that year never put a foot wrong and we had a forward that oozed class! hopefully 2009 wil be a fresh year, a tinryland year! any word on the x factor, i heard a rumour that a certain local lad is going to perfrom a george michael number, dont want to mention a name until i get clarification but i was surprised to hear it, fair play though!

13) seanyMonday 19 Jan 2009 @ 18:29

i heard the same rumour myself now,but i dont know if he will turn up.we will just have to wait and see.its a bit like waiting to see if robbie williams would turn up the time take that did that documentary!

14) seanWednesday 21 Jan 2009 @ 18:04

did robbie turn up? i think take that are better off without him. thats just my opinion.

15) maxFriday 23 Jan 2009 @ 0:23

I think robbie took a different route when the fame got to him, full of substance abuse....a lot like our footballers

16) martinFriday 25 Sep 2009 @ 16:45

let Ger stay but put some one that can get something out of them in charge.the are john lack of commitment.this lads for got how to Winn.a bit of guts and willpower and of course discipline then the will win .take a leaf out of the young lads book

17) seanyTuesday 29 Sep 2009 @ 23:20

"The are john lack of commitment"??What does that mean, can never understand you Martin!!!

18) LegendWednesday 30 Sep 2009 @ 9:10

20) martinThursday 1 Oct 2009 @ 1:29

seany and legend ye have no guts .dont mind the spelling .i am sure ye made many mistakes to if ye look back in what ye done

21) legendThursday 1 Oct 2009 @ 10:15

Dont know what guts has to do with it but however. Im sure we have all made many mistakes Martin but sure if a man does not make a mistake he is probably not living at all. Anyway best of luck to the minors in the Co. semi final V Eire Og this evening in DCP 6 p.m.

22) legendThursday 15 Oct 2009 @ 17:41

Good luck to the minors in the Co. Final against Palatine in Dr Cullen Park on Sunday 2 p.m. Hopefully this will be our year to win the minor at last

23) seanySaturday 17 Oct 2009 @ 15:46

I think we could win it for the simple reason is evry year we lost the final they were all expected to win it from the start(all our "dream teams") while this team had a very poor start to the year and looked doomed but theyve regrouped when no one expected anything and now they are in the final.Good luck lads.

24) martinSunday 18 Oct 2009 @ 20:57

hard look lads as the say better look the next time.we had chances but couldn't convert them to scores, looks like sum lads were a bit nervous

25) legendMonday 19 Oct 2009 @ 18:11

Minors could have stolen it in the end but I have to say Pal were slightly the better team. Great performance by Tinryland to get to final winning 5 matches along the way. Well done to management team of Mick, Alan and Sean. A few of the young lads did not perform on the day but a few outstanding also like Kevin Barrett, Jeff Sutton, Robbie Power and Michael Mullen

26) martinSaturday 14 Nov 2009 @ 15:20

29) legendSunday 20 Mar 2011 @ 7:24

Great to hear from you Martin. Do you hibernate for the winter? It was certainly a cold one this year. Great to see the football back. Will you be supporting the seniors in their first league game on Monday evening against Mount Leinster Rangers in Tinryland at 7.30 p.m.?

30) legendMonday 21 Mar 2011 @ 23:15

Great performance by Tinryland seniors tonight. Defeated Mount Leinster Rangers 2-9 to 0-6. led 1-4 to 0-5 half time. Paul Broderick scored 2-4 and Danny Moran superb at corner back. other good performers in Keith Jackson, Padraig Townsend, Kevin Barrett, Niall Barrett and goalkeeper Trevor O Reilly who brought off a great save just before half time. Short our Co U21s Robbie Power, Cormac Walshe, Conor Byrne, Matthew O'Toole and Darren Murphy and Co Senior player Shane Redmond Next game on Sunday next at home to Fenagh

31) jimmyMonday 4 Apr 2011 @ 16:17

football was not great the other night bad weather it was offal but eo og won this one .but a good show ma youse the ball better and not give it away esey like the did

32) legendMonday 4 Apr 2011 @ 19:38

Not great the other night all right Jimmy but a lot of lads missing due to injuries Co team duty and other excuses. I counted at least 10 players who should have been playing standing on the sideline and a few more injuries picked up on Saturday. Tinryland play Palatine away at 8 p.m. Friday but with so many missing the omens dont look great

33) BernardSunday 22 May 2011 @ 11:07

34) legendTuesday 24 May 2011 @ 23:47

Good to see the soccer fraternity welcomed in the GAA club on Friday.Revenue in the Bar was certainly boosted on the night. Well done to the senior footballers in defeating the Co Intermediate and senior champions in their last 2 league games.Tinryland now in 4th position with 5 games remaining. We play Kildavin- Clonegal this Thursday evening at home 7.30 p.m. All support will be welcome. Then we have Rathvilly away, Tullow away O'Hanrahans and Kilbride . 3 wins might make semi final.

37) legendWednesday 22 Jun 2011 @ 15:26

Best performance this season by the senior team and when you consider they were without O'Reilly, Redmond, Moore on Co duty, Broderick and O'Toole on holidays and Doran injured they must have a great chane of winning out the League and doing well in championship.Looks like Eire Og in the semi final with Rathvilly and Palatine in other semi final. Great to see the big support the team had on Tuesday and the amount of Tinryland fans planning to travel to Croke Park at the weekend

38) jimmyMonday 27 Jun 2011 @ 15:00

carlow team did not preform on sunday .sum key players did not preform but trever did a great job. but the backs fell a sleep senter feeld went missing a loot of the time .hafe forwords stuck to the ground never showed for the ball.wexford atticking hafe backs showed every time.our forwards should have fught harder.and stoped sum slply of ball comming thrue.louke should give the subs a chance next time out cant do any worse.but the lades had agrath first half .the gold in engery time shel shocked them

39) seanyTuesday 28 Jun 2011 @ 12:06

What happened the senior team against the blues on Saturday. I missed this game as I thought they were certs to win. Were they short or what

42) legendTuesday 28 Jun 2011 @ 23:13

I Heard tonight that Tinryland will play our neighbours Palatine in the senior league semi final in Dr Cullen Park on Saturday next 2nd July at 7.30 on a double header with Rathvilly and Eire Og. What chances have we against Pal. They beat us by 21 points the last time we met

43) legendSunday 3 Jul 2011 @ 21:17

Best senior performance for a long time on Saturday. Pal had no answer to the Tinryland lads. Could have won by more. Will now play Eire Og in league final next Sunday 10th July 7.30 p.m. Dr Cullen park
